COVID-19 Cases In AP Surpasses 2000-Mark

The positive cases of the novel coronavirus are increasing rapidly in Andhra Pradesh as 38 fresh cases were reported in the state in the past 24 hours. With this, the count of the positive cases stood at 2018.

To date, 998 managed to recover from the fatal virus and got discharged from the hospitals accordingly. The active cases in the state stood at 975 who have been treated for the virus. As of now, 45 people succumbed to COVID-19.

Out of the newly reported cases, Chittor and Kurnool reported 9 cases respectively while Anantapur reported 8 cases, Krishna and Visakha reported 3 cases each, and Nellore reported 1 case.

Kurnool turned out as the worst-hit district in the state with 575 cases followed by Guntur(387), Krishna(342), Chittor(121), and Anantapur with 115 cases.

Talking about COVID-19 cases in India, 4,213 positive cases were reported in the country in the past 24 hours taking the toll of the cases to 67,152. This is the highest single-day cases recorded in India so far.
