Covid-19 Fear: Partial Lockdown on cards in Telangana!

Update: 2021-03-21 12:12 GMT
Telangana is facing the wrath of the spike in the daily toll of Coronavirus infections. Since the past week, the cases have been increasing rapidly. A few schools in the states have been declared as the Covid-19 clusters.

Amid this rapid growth in fresh infections, it has been widely reported that the Telangana Government led by Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekhar Rao is thinking to impose a partial lockdown in cities.

If we have to take anything from these media reports, the state government is likely to impose lockdown on weekends in areas that have a high population. Night curfew is also on cards, reports claimed.

It is also said that KCR will chair a crucial meeting with key officials on the proposed lockdown and after discussing various issues the government will take a call on this and a formal announcement will also be made.

It has to be noted that before the nationwide lockdown came into effect, KCR imposed Janata Curfew. The curfew was in effect for 24 hours. From the next day, Telangana too observed lockdown like other states.

Given the rise in Pandemic infections, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh imposed lockdowns in cities and regions that are prone to the virus spread. Both the states have imposed partial lockdown.

India is also struggling with the fresh infections, which are going up with each day passing. Now India is reporting over 40,000 cases. In the past 24 hours, India added not less than 43,846 new infections.
