Covid-19 Infections In India Rose To Over 7.4 Million

India's total toll of Coronavirus infections pass surged 7.4-million mark and mounted to a whopping 74,32,681, including 62,212 fresh cases that were detected in the past 24 hours.

For the first time, active Corona infections in India dropped below 8 lakh. This is the lowest toll of active cases in the count over the past one and half months. Active cases stood at 7,95,087.

So far, a total of 65,24,596 patients have been recovered from the respiratory disease, including 70,816 patients being cured and getting discharged from the hospitals in the last 24 hours.

According to the information provided by the Union Health Ministry, as many as 837 patients breathed their last battling the virus in 24 hours, which pushes the count of total Covid-19 fatalities to 1,12,998.

The fresh dip in the fresh Coronavirus infections marks the sharpest downfall in the infections. New cases saw a dip by 18 percent, while the Covid-19 fatalities saw a dip by around 19 percent.

The total caseload of Covid-19 in Telangana rose to 2,20,675 after as many as 1451 fresh infections were detected in 24 hours. Including 9 fresh casualties, total fatalities zoomed to 1265.

Andhra Pradesh witnessed 3,967 fresh infections on Friday, taking the total toll of infections to  7,75,470. While 7,30,109 patients recovered from the virus, active cases stood at 38,979.

Looking at the global scenario,39,565,948 patients have been diagnosed with the virus so far. As many as 29,648,915 patients have been recovered from the virus, while   1,108,617 patients succumbed to the virus.
