Indian cricketer and leg spinner Amit Mishra, a member of Team India's limited overs squad in the recently-concluded series against South Africa was arrested by Bangalore cops. Mishar was arrested in connection with sexual assault case on woman in Bangalore. The police took him into custody after three hours of questioning in connection with the case. However, he was given bail soon after.
Bengaluru DCP stated that Mishra will be released on bail, as it is a bailable offence.Mishra was facing criminal charges for assaulting a lady friend in a hotel in Bangalore recently.
A case was filed against Mishra few days back when one of his female friend alleged attack on her during a national camp in Bangalore. The police say that case was booked against Amit under the sections of 354 and 328 of the IPC.
