Team India cricketer Amit Mishra was today booked by Bengaluru police for allegedly assaulting his female friend. The case was booked against Mishra after one of his female friend alleged that Amit assaulted and outraged her modesty in a five star hotel.
The lady alleged that she was attacked by mishra in a five star hotel in Bengaluru on September 25 when Mishra was in the city to attend a cricket camp. Police reacting to the complaint summoned the India cricketer and asked him to appear before them in a week's time. Police added that strict action would be taken on him if he fails to attend.
As per reports Mishra had been booked under IPC sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 328 (causing hurt with intent to commit an offence). Mishra is part of the Indian squad for the first two Tests against South Africa which will commence soon.
