Cricketer's English Version of Indian National Anthem

From Virat Kohli to many big names might have extended Independence Day greetings but the one wish which stood out was that of Matthew Hayden's. The former Australian Cricketer shared the English Version of Indian National Anthem on the Independence Day while extending the greetings on his Twitter handle.

Hayden's English Version of Indian National Anthem:

May the ruler of the hearts of all people,
Dispenser of India’s fortune.
Whose name rouses the hearts of the Punjab, Sindh,
Gujarat, and Maratha,
Of the Dravida, and Odisha and Bengal.
Whose name echoes in the Himalayas
Whose name mingles in the music of the
Yamuna and Ganga
And whose name is chanted by
the waves of the Indian sea

‘May He bless you and protect you.
May He smile on you and be gracious to you.
May he show you his favour and give you his piece.’

Now and forevermore.
Amen.

Hayden's gesture has been widely appreciated, be it on Twitter or any other public platform. Indians will start respecting this Aussie even more from now. What a way to earn respect from people of other nation? The family of the Ex-Cricketer will be proud of him for sure.
