Jai Shri Ram slogan is very sacred for Hindus and it is used widely. But the emergence of the saffron party Bharatiya Janata Party made the slogan even more popular and many say that the party uses the slogan that a few feel Jai Shri Ram is the party slogan.
Due to various reasons, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is not someone who likes Jai Shri Ram slogans. She gets irked when she hears the slogan. Though she calls herself a strong believer of God she somehow doesn't like the slogans.
She was greeted with Jai Shri Ram slogans many times. Yet again this happened. Vande Bharat Express was flagged off in West Bengal earlier today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi started the train virtually as he cannot be present physically as he lost his mother today and he took part in her funeral.
When the train was flagged in West Bengal people raised Jai Shari Ram slogans. This made her unhappy and the Chief Minister refused to go to the stage. Despite the attendees of the event requesting Mamata to come to the dais, she said no.
Not happy with what happened at the event, Mamata Banerjee refused to go to the dais and sat next to the stage on a chair. She was annoyed with people raising the slogans and we can see that on her face.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Governor C V Ananda Bose made their best efforts to bring the Chief Minister onto the dais. No matter what they said Mamata Banerjee stuck to her opinion and did not go to the stage.
