Two-timing can be dangerous, both in love as well as politics. And Daggubati Venkateshwar Rao must be realising this the hard way. Daggubati is in the YSRCP and his wife is in the BJP. Both are in key positions and have unsuccessfully contested the 2019 elections. While Daggubati lost from Paruchuru assembly constituency, Purandeswari lost from the Vizag MP seat. With the BJP upping the ante against the YSRCP, the time has now come for Daggubati to decide which side he is on. He and his wife cannot be in rival parties.
To add to it, there are rumours that Daggubati is unable to secure an appointment with YS Jagan these days. Sources say that he has been trying to meet Jagan for the past month-and-a-half, but to no avail. Since Daggubati is staying in Hyderabad and has not kept touch with the constituency, the YSRCP has brought back Ravi Ramanatham, who left YSRCP at the time of elections, into the YSRCP. He is now the incharge of the assembly constituency. This only means that the doors for Daggubati are shutting down.
Meanwhile, Daggubati is meeting leaders from Prakasam district to discuss his future course of action. Even for Purandeswari, the BJP is unable to trust her fully as her husband is in the rival party. Thus, instead of enjoying the best of both the worlds, they are actually losing both ways.
