Veteran director Dasari Narayana Rao seems to be on a mission to lower the impact of dubbing Industry on Telugu serials and straight feature films as much as possible.
Responding to the movie ticket price hike, Dasari has given a representation to chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy suggesting few rules that need to be implemented with immediate affect.
The veteran opined that the price hike will benefit only the big films and small films which have less viewership will have to suffer due to this move. Here the few suggestions made by him...
1) Levy tax on films released in more than 150 screens and give and exemption to those with below 150-mark.
2) Impose 100 percent tax on dubbing films.
3) Implement the online ticketing system affectively.
Dasari felt that by implementing his proposals, Government could increase the revenue and end up protecting the interest of small producers who were facing threat from dubbing flicks. 100 percent tax could slowdown the release of dubbing content in Andhra Pradesh. Will the govt. considers Dasari's outcry?
