Telangana Congress have nothing much to criticise TRS after facing defeat by a huge margin in the 2018 Assembly Polls. So, The Main Opposition has been making a hue & cry over the delay in cabinet expansion.
Congress Spokesperson Dasoju Sravan termed the decision of KCR to carry out the administration without even sufficient number of Ministers as a violation of Constitution. He even wrote a letter to Governor ESL Narasimhan over the prolonged delay in setting up a full-fledged cabinet. 'As per Article (1A) of the Constitution of India, Council of Ministers in any state can't exceed 15 percent of the Total MLAs. Which means, Count of Cabinet Ministers including CM can't be less then 12 in Telangana. So far, Only CM and Home Minister were ruling the state,' complains the Congress Leader.
Sravan pointed out CM KCR kept all the portfolios, except four, with himself. Only Home Ministry, Urban Land Ceiling, Stamps & Registrations, Relief & Rehabilitation weren't with KCR. 'How could One Person (CM) handle 33 Departments and 289 Organisations? Won't it have a negative impact?,' he questioned.
