Days Before Her Release, Sasikala Fell Ill, Condition Critical!

Former AIADMK leader and close aide of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, VK Sasikala's health condition deteriorated further, media reports claimed.

Sasikala was first rushed to the Bengaluru Lady Curzon Hospital for treatment after she was found positive for the ongoing novel Coronavirus. Given her condition, she was shifted to Victoria Hospital Bengaluru.

After examining Sasikala, the doctors at Victoria Hospital Bengaluru reportedly said, her condition is critical as she was found diagnosed with COVID-19 severe pneumonia with Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and hypothyroidism.

As per the information, the former AIADMK leader is receiving treatment from the doctors as per the standard COVID-19 protocol at the Victoria Hospital Bengaluru.

According to the information, Sasikala's health condition is very critical and she was put on a ventilator after her health condition deteriorated.

Sasikala was found positive for the Coronavirus pandemic, in the repeated RT-PCR tests. She was first admitted to Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital and later shifted to Victoria Hospital after she developed symptoms like persistent fever and breathlessness.

Sasikala's nephew TTV Dhanikaran rushed to Bengaluru to see her aunt after he was informed about the ill-health. After meeting her, he spoke to the media on Thursday.

Sasikala fell ill, just days ahead of her release from jail. As per the schedule, she was supposed to get released from the jail on the 27th of January.

She was found guilty in a multicrore disproportionate assets case which became the talk of the town. Back in 2017, a Court awarded four years imprisonment for her.
