Death threat to Sourav Ganguly

Former Indian Skipper Sourav Ganguly had received a death threat. On January 7th, Dada got a threat letter addressing him via post at his Behala residence. He was asked to skip the felicitation programme in West Midnapore district. A complaint has been lodged at Thakurpukur police station in this regard.

Kolkata Police registered a case and kickstarted the investigation. They were yet to find out if it's genuine or fake letter.

Sourav Ganguly is currently serving as the President of Bengal Cricket Association. He was believed to be strong contender for BCCI Chief post after Supreme Court sacked Anurag Thakur for not implementing Justice Lodha Panel reforms. However, Ganguly clarified he isn't in race for the top post and can't accept the such a huge responsibility anytime soon. He, however, reacted positively to Lodha Panel Reforms.
