CM shouldn't be a Puppet of Sasikala: Jaya's Niece

Update: 2017-02-14 11:51 GMT
Jayalalithaa's Niece Deepa Jayakumar welcomed the verdict of Supreme Court sentencing AIADMK General Secretary to four years in prison for corrupt practices during Jayalalithaa's first term as CM between 1991-1996. 'It's a good verdict. Sasikala and her family members don't deserve to be at the helm of affairs,' she opined.

When quizzed about the elevation Edappadi Palanisamy as AIADMK General Secretary and Leader of Legislative Pary, Deepa made it clear whoever leads AIADMK or People of Tamil Nadu shouldn't be a puppet by puppet of Sasikala Natarajan. She went on to state CM should be someone whom her aunt Jayalalithaa has picked up, hinting that O Panneerselvam is the best choice to lead the party and government.

So far, Sasikala Natarajan hasn't reacted to any of the allegations leveled by Deepa Jayakumar. She continued to remain tight-lipped on why Deepa wasn't allowed to meet Jayalalithaa in Apollo Hospital during the 75-days period. At the same time, Deepa's brother Deepak was given importance by Sasikala and he also remained supportive of Chinnamma.
