Making the situation even worse, the shortage of supply in medical oxygen is claiming the lives of several patients as the medical facilities are gasping for the medical oxygen.
As a horrific incident, 20 patients have breathed their last at the Jaipur Golden Hospital in the national capital Delhi as a result of the shortage of medical oxygen.
It is said that nearly 200 patients who are undergoing treatment at the hospital are in dire need of medical oxygen and the authorities of the hospital are awaiting the oxygen supply.
For the second consecutive day, Delhi reported more than 300 Covid-19 casualties. On Sunday not less than 357 patients have breathed their last battling the virus. So far, the Covid-19 casualties in Delhi surpassed 13500. 24,103 new Covid-19 cases are reported on Sunday.
Following the rise in fresh infections and casualties, the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government has extended the lockdown till the 3rd of May. The six-day lockdown was imposed in Delhi last week.
