Delhi CM Annouces Rs 15 crore to Flood-Hit Telangana

During the tough times of battling the devastating situation left by the record downpour in the last 100 years, Telangana received help from the national capital Delhi.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal came forward to lend a helping hand in the relief activities in Telangana. He announced the help of Rs 15 crore on his Twitter handle.

'Floods have caused havoc in Hyderabad. People of Delhi stand by our brother and sisters in Hyderabad in this hour of crisis. Delhi govt will donate Rs 15 cr to the Govt of Telangana for its relief efforts,'Kejriwal's tweet reads.

National capital Delhi is the second state to offer help to Telangana in this tough situation after Tamil Nadu. On October 19th, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami donated Rs 10 crore.

Along with Rs 10 crore, blankets and mats are also coming from Tamil Nadu for the victims.

Some areas in Hyderabad recorded a 192 mm rain during the heavy rains that is the highest for the city in the last over 100 years. People from low-lying areas were evacuated to safe places.
