Unnao Rape Case: Delhi Court Convicts Kuldeep Singh Sengar

A Delhi court Monday pronounced former BJP MLA Kuldeep Sengar guilty of abducting and raping a minor in Unnao in 2017.

Delhi court convicts expelled BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar for raping Unnao woman. Kuldeep Sengar convicted for rape under IPC, POCSO Act. The matter would be taken up next on December 17 on the point of sentencing.

The court had framed charges against Sengar and Singh under IPC sections 120B (criminal conspiracy), 363 (kidnapping), 366 (kidnapping or inducing a woman to compel for marriage), 376 (rape) and other relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

The Unnao rape survivor, a minor, was allegedly kidnapped and raped by Sengar between June 11-20, 2017.
