Polling in Nandyal by-election is slated to happen on August 23rd. Neither TDP nor YSR Congress want to lose this election at any cost. The war-like situation raised the doubt that can the by-election polling happen in a fair manner.
In a welcoming move, State Election Commission decided to use the services of Central Forces for free and fair polling in Nandyal. Election Commissioner Bhanwar Lal declared that eight batches of Central Armed Military Forces will be deployed in Nandyal from August 16th. Which means, Any political party can't influence the voters in a forcible manner.
For the first time in Telugu States, EVMs will have attachment with Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) Machines in all the polling booths. This new facility given an opportunity for the voter to know whom he/she voted after pressing the button on the EVM. The slip which will come out of the machine woulf fall in container attached to it. All measures have been taken for live webcasting videography at all the polling booths.
