Despite Being MP, Nama Is Unable To Have His Way

Update: 2020-11-04 07:56 GMT
Though he is an elected people's representative, TRS leader and Khammam MP Nama Nageshwara Rao is finding the going very tough. He is finding that the officials and the bureaucrats in the district are not responding to his directives. Most officials are skipping the review meetings called by the MP.

Nama, a diehard TDP man, shifted to the TRS ahead of 2019 elections and won as an MP.

But of late, no officer seems to be listening to him. Some key officials are not even answering the phone calls made by the MP. Some have conveniently skipped the Disha review meetings that the MP holds. He is not getting invitations even for the programmes where his presence is required as per the protocol. Some sources have reportedly informed the MP that they have been asked not to respond to him.

A shocked Nama does not know who to approach. He tried to take up the issue with some top leaders of the party, but to no avail. As of now, Nama is maintaining a low profile in view of the non-responsive administration. Sources say that Nama suspects the hand of a local politician in denying him any political space. Sources say that a strong leader from the district is obstructing him in getting things done as an MP.
