Despite KTR's Diktat, TRS Ministers Squabble

Update: 2020-03-04 07:32 GMT
Despite KCR's iron fist and the complete sway that working president KTR holds on the party, internecine squabbles have become the order of the day in the ruling TRS. Several ministers are fighting battles for supremacy. Area domination is the buzz word in the party these days.

For instance, newly appointed tribal minister from undivided Warangal Satyavathi Rathod has a run-in with minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao, who is also from the same district. Finally, KTR himself had to enter the scene and divide areas among the two ministers. Satyavathi Rathod was asked to focus on Mulug and Mahabubabad while Dayakar Rao was told to focus on other parts. Similarly, both Etela Rajendra and Gangula Kamalakar are vying with one another over jurisdictional matters. Again, KTR had to step in and tell them to work in tandem. In Khammam, the party is deeply divided into three factions – one led by transport minister Puvvada Ajay, the the other led by former minister Tummala Nageshwara Rao and the third led by former MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy.Similar problems abound in Nizamabad, Rangareddy and Nalgonda.

The working president is now forced to work overtime to iron out these differences. KTR is busy cooling off the warring local leaders, especially the MLAs and the ministers.
