Former Maha CM Devendra Fadnavis Releases Election Manifesto For GHMC Elections
The Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) intensifies its game for the upcoming Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation(GHMC) elections. After Telangana BJP wing leaders, the party has fielded the Delhi leaders too.
As part of the campaign, the Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis came to Hyderabad and took part in the campaigning event held by the BJP party.
At the event, Devendra Fadnavis released the election manifesto for the GHMC elections. Other leaders like Minister of Home Affairs of India Kishan Reddy and State President of Bharatiya Janata Party of Telangana Bandi Sanjay were also present at the event.
In the manifesto, the BJP party announced to revoke LRS introduced by the ruling TRS party and announced more amount as flood relief for Hyd flood victims.
It has to be noted that, earlier TRS announced Rs 10,000 as flood relief. However, the scheme was kept under hold after the SEC issued orders to stop the scheme. Now BJP announced Rs 25,000 as flood relief.
To tickle Telangana sentiment, the BJP announced to celebrate September 17 as official Liberation Day. Fadnavis pointed out why the state government is not celebrating Liberation Day.
In the manifesto titled âPublic for change, BJP for change', the party announced to improve the drainage system in the city. One lakh houses for the poor were also announced.
