Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has down played the unruly crowd behaviour in Cuttack during the second T20 match against South Africa. "We shouldn't take such things seriously. We get reactions like these at times we don't live up to the standards. Only the first few bottles are hurled with serious intent and after that few others did it just for fun," he told.
Dhoni even recalled similar incident in Vizag where spectators threw bottles even though India won the match easily to defend his version 'not so serious' act.
South African skipper, on the other hand, expressed his displeasure over such incidents and claimed to have never seen such behaviour from the crowd in the 5-6 years he played in India. He feels its against the spirit of the game and could only wish such things don't repeat again on this tour.
Cricket Legend Sunil Gavaskar came down heavily on Odisha police and cricket association on the poor handling of an international match. He advocates a 2 years ban on cuttack for Monday's incident.
