Legendary cricketers have been showering praises on Pranav Dhanawade who scored 1009 runs in 323 balls to become the only cricketer to achieve such a milestone in any form of the game. Responding the fantastic display of batting skills by the school kid, Mahendra Singh Dhoni commented, 'Its not a joke to score so many runs. Its serious business irrespective of the conditions'.

Pranav Dhanawade broke Collins record of 628 not out in a Junior House match held in June 1899 in England. Collins, a Englishman born in India, never played first-class cricket. Brain Lara was the only cricketer to score 500-plus runs in First-Class Cricket.

Post his brilliant performance, Maharashtra Government offered to bear the total expenses of Pranav Dhanawade's education and cricket coaching.
