Dhoni resigns as Captain of Team India

Mahendra Singh Dhoni on Wednesday resigned as the skipper of Team India's ODI & T20 Team. He, however, didn't announce retirement to the limited overs cricket. Which means, Mr.Cool will be available for selection for the upcoming ODIs and T20s against England.

The resignation of Dhoni came as a surprise as cricket lovers expected him to continue till 2019 World Cup. May be, Dhoni decided this is the right time to step down.

Selectors are likely gonna elevate Virat Kohli as the skipper of India's limited overs side. This champion player is already very successful as the captain of Team India's Test squad. He holds the record of 5 consecutive series victories and put the team on the top of the ICC Test Rankings.

India will play the first ODI against England on Sunday (January 15th) in Pune.
