Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni hit back at Hindi daily Sun Star for allegedly making Match-Fixing allegations against him.

Some time ago, Sun Star carried out a sting operation with former Team India Manager and DDCA Secretary Sunil Dev. During this operation, Sunil Dev alleged that Dhoni was involved in the match-fixing of fourth and final Test against England at Old Trafford in 2014. He told Dhoni choose to bat on a wet wicket even after Team Management decided to field first if the toss was won. The end result is England completing a white wash with India losing the game by an innings and 54 runs.

However, Sunil Dev denied making any such allegations and even warned the daily of legal action if the sting operation was circulated.

Now, Dhoni's legal firm C&C Associates served legal noticed to Sun Star asking it either to prove their match-fixing claims or issue an statement of denial. The cricketer even warns that a defamation suit will be filed for recovery of damages to the tune of Rs 100 crore for causing mental agony and trauma. Sun Star has to respond to the notice within 48 hours or face action.
