Did Black Colour Win Elections For Kejriwal?

Will colour influence voting and electoral outcome? Yes is the answer. Increasingly colour psychologists and perception managers are entering the field of poll management. They feel the colours projected by the parties will help in positioning them vis a vis their rivals.

It is because of this that every party has its own trademark colour.  But, look at Delhi elections. The Aam Admi party has chosen black as its colour for the electioneering. The black colour has managed to cut the clutter of all other colours like saffron, green etc. Black highlighted Kejriwal's slogans and made the speakers look very prominent against its backdrop. The party strategists feel that this has helped build the brand for Kejriwal and his party.

On the black background, the world "Lage Raho Kejriwal"  were written not in white but in bright yellow, a vibrant colour that projected the new-found soft Hindutwa image of the party. Kejriwal’s party consciously used this colour to beat the BJP's dark saffron, which represented a stronger advocacy of Hindutwa. Thus, Kejriwal coloured his victory in the Delhi elections.
