Differences In Employees JAC Over Pragathi Bhavan Meet

Update: 2021-01-02 04:33 GMT
The recent meeting of the employees of the Telangana Non-Gazetted Employees Union and the Telangana Gazetted Officers Union with Telangana CM KCR has exposed the deep distrust and the differences among the various employees unions. Several unions have not been invited to the programme and this has caused a heartburn among the leaders of these employees.

There are about 120 unions under the Telangana Employees JAC. However, only five unions were invited. The remaining unions, which included panchayat raj employees and the teachers union, have not been invited. They were not invited because they could raise some uncomfortable questions and put KCR on the spot. The five unions that attended were loyal to the CM. In fact, Telangana Gazetted Officers Union Leader Mamatha's husband was given an extension for two more years. This has become controversial.

The employees owing allegiance to other unions are accusing the five unions of sacrificing  employees ‘ interests to further their interests. They are being rewarded for prostrating before the CM. They are questioning the rationale behind playing second fiddle to TRS, even when the government is doing nothing for the employees.
