The Telangana HC on Friday gave a green signal for a second autopsy on the bodies of the four accused, who were gunned down in a police encounter at Chatanpally, and handing over their bodies to the families after post-mortem in the Disha case
The court also said that the Supreme Court has directed to collect evidence in the case and said that a re-postmortem will be conducted by the forensic experts from Delhi. However, the government's counsel told the court that re-postmortem is not needed with the officials from other states.
A bench of Chief Justice Raghavendra Singh Chauhan and Justice A Abhishek Reddy was hearing a PIL by social activist K Sajaya and others whose pleas were forwarded to the high court by the SC to take a call on the bodies which had been preserved since the encounter on December 6.
