SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar To Move Court Against AP Government!

Update: 2020-11-19 08:00 GMT
The saga of disputes between the Andhra Pradesh government and SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar continues after his video conference with district officials was canceled.

State Election Commissioner (SEC) Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar, who announced that the elections to gram panchayats will be held in February next year wanted to chair a review meeting with the district authorities on Wednesday.

After he didn't receive permission to chair the meeting, SEC wrote another letter to the Chief Secretary(CS) Nilam Sawhney and it is believed that he didn't receive any reply from her.

As a result, his meeting with the district authorities got canceled yet again. This did not go well with Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar and he is irked with the unwanted development.

This development came days after CS writing to SEC that it is not possible to go for the Gram Panchayat elections as the cops are deployed for the Coronavirus duties in the state.

If we have to take anything from the media reports, SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar is thinking to move the High Court over the state government's response to the meeting reportedly.

It is not the first time, Nimmagadda knocked on the doors of the High Court over the review meeting row, one more issue will get added to the list of disputes between the state government and SEC.
