While 270 votes were required for crossing the victory line, Trump managed to win 306 votes. 'Thank you to all of my great supporters, we just officially won the election (despite all of the distorted and inaccurate media),' commented the Real Estate Tycoon after the victory.
Usually, Electoral College votes doesn't have much significance. But, Donald Trump's controversial approach in elections, sexual harassment allegations and signature campaign against his election made everyone take Electoral College seriously. Democratics failed to make at least 37 Republican electors reject Trump in the end.
