YSRCP chief, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy called for a Spandana video conference over the Coronavirus situation in the state earlier today. During the conference, he showered praise on Collectors for working effectively.
The Chief Minister urged everyone to not take the Covid0-19 for granted and appealed to everyone to not think that zero Coronavirus cases will be reported.
CM Jagan has credited the curfew for the decline in covid cases and positivity rate. The vaccinations should be provided to everyone. Covid protocols like masks,sanitisers should be followed with a fail, he said.
The Fever surveys in the villages should be continued. Focused Covid tests should be done. Besides people with symptoms, those who want to undergo the tests should also be tested for the virus, Jagan said.
The Chief Minister went on to say that RT-PCR tests should be done. We don't know if the third wave will come or not. But we should be prepared to face the possible next wave. Experts say children will get affected in the third wave.
Poor people should not face any issues in getting treatment for the virus. Collectors did a phenomenal job in this regard. Around 89 percent availed the Aarogyasri scheme to get the treatment, he said.
