Creating much confusion on the future of former Indian skipper M.S. Dhoni, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not given a central contract to Dhoni for the upcoming season. In the last season, he was in Category A.
Since the 2019 ODI World Cup, Dhoni was out of the action as India was knocked out of the semi-finals of the World Cup. With Dhoni making him unavailable for all the tours, a lot of suspense arose on Dhoni's future.
The contract list came days after, Indian Head Coach Ravi Shastri said Dhoni might end his ODI career very soon. Talking about his T20 career, the coach said Dhoni's name will be considered if he performs well in the upcoming IPL.
Looking back at his career, Dhoni is the only skipper under whose captaincy, India won both the T20 and 50 overs world cup. We won the 50 overs world cup after a long waiting of 28 years.
