It's now almost official. The TRS has given up the fight. It now seems to have reconciled to playing second fiddle to the BJP at the Centre. Yes. The latest indications are that the TRS has decided to stay with the BJP. Though it may not join the NDA, it will remain with the BjP.
The TRS has not joined the bandwagon of the Opposition in boycotting the presidential address to the two houses of Parliament. It did not abstain from the address. Instead, it not only attended the parliament's joint session but also gave enough indications of staying with the BjP. Both the senior leaders like KK and Nama Nageshwara Rao, who represent the TRS in the two houses of parliament said that their priority is to ensure that the state gets the maximum benefit from the Central Government. Thus, the TRS is the fourth regional party to break the ranks of the Opposition and cooperate with the BJP.
But, will that translate into bonhomie at the state level? Not likely. The BJP is going hammer and tongs against the TRS and the TRS considers the BJP to be its main rival. But at the Central level, it will be friendship. Thus it would be dosti in Delhi and kushti in Hyderabad.
