Dreaded Hidma in Telangana ?

Update: 2021-10-19 05:27 GMT
The Telangana police are on a high alert amid reports that hard core Maoist leader Madavi Hidma has entered Telangana. Sources say that Hidma has entered the thickly forested Eturu Nagaram agency area. Though the police officials are denying that Hidma has entered the forest area, the rumours refuse to die.

Highly placed sources say that Hidma and several other top Naxals were poisoned and they were treated in the forest area itself. However, Hidma reportedly needed further treatment for which he has entered into the Telangana region. Some sources also say that Hidma may have come into Telangana mainly to meet the relatives of top notch Maoist RK alias Akkiraju Haragopal, who died due to kidney failure in the forests of Chhattisgarh.

Meanwhile there are reports that the police are intensively combing the forest areas adjoining Jayashankar Bhupalpalli, Mulug and Bhadradri Kothagudem districts. They are scouring the hospitals to ascertain if any suspected persons got admitted.  Sources also say that the Maoist sympathisers are trying to shift him to a better hospital.

Hidma is known for his ruthless attacks on the police. He was the kingpin of the ambush of the CRPF forces in the month of April in Tarem area of Bijapur district in Chhattisgarh, in which 22 CRPF jawans lost their life.  He is also involved in the Tadmetla attack in 2010, in which 76 CRPF jawans were martyred, the 2013 Jeraighat attack and the 2017 attack in which 27 jawans lost their lives.
