Due to shortage of medical oxygen, 25 Covid patients breathe their last!

Highlighting the burning issue of shortage of the supply of medical oxygen, as many as twenty-five people have breathed their last at a hospital with a shortage of oxygen.

The tragic incident was reported in the national capital Delhi in the late-night hours of Friday at the Jaipur Golden Hospital. Due to the shortage of oxygen, 25 patients have lost their lives.

The News Agency PTI quoted the Medical Director of Jaipur Golden Hospital, Dr. DK Baluja as saying, there was a delay in the oxygen supply. The supply which was supposed to reach the facility by evening reached around midnight.

By the time, the oxygen supply reached the facility, 25 patients lost their lives. The Hospital has more than 200 patients, who need oxygen supply for the treatment against Covid-19 Baluja added.

Unable to fight the shortage of oxygen, the Hospital has knocked on the doors of the Delhi High Court to seek the help of the court. Calling the incident a tragedy, the Hospital requested the Court to save the lives.

Jaipur Golden Hospital became the second hospital in the national capital to send an SOS over the shortage in the supply of medical oxygen. Earlier, Moolchand hospital had sent SOS and requested the Union government and Delhi government to look into the matter.
