The coronavirus cases are drastically rising in AP. In view of rising virus cases, some districts like Anantapur and Ongole has been implementing a strict lockdown and now East Godavari district has joined in the list after the district collector Muralidhar Reddy announced passed instructions.
In view of the increase of activity of cases and containment zones in the district, he has taken this decision. Initially, the lockdown will be enforced in Amalapuram and Ainavilli and from 25th, the lockdown will be implemented throughout the district.
He directed to open essential goods stores, restaurants, hotels, liquor shops and vegetable shops from 6 am to 11 am. If anyone found violating the rules, they will be fined Rs 500. So far, 706 corona positive cases have been reported in East Godavari district.
