East Godavari Enters The List Of Top 10 Regions With Highest Infections
Andhra Pradesh which overtook Karnataka and turned out as the fourth worst-affected state in the country with the virus outbreak has been reporting over 10,000 fresh infections for two days.
Ringing the danger bells, East Godavari has been reporting record fresh infections since some days inculcating fear in the public about the spread of the contagious disease.
With this, West Godavari made yet another unwanted record and entered the list of top ten regions in India which contain the most number of infections of the respiratory disease.
The authorities took the details of fresh infections that were reported after the 1st of July to make this report. As per the report, East Godavari which has a total of 13,486 cases recorded a huge growth of fresh cases with 1015 percent. The fresh cases percentage until the 26th of July was taken into consideration.
On the other hand, Kurnool made it to the tenth spot in the list of top ten regions in India that has a more number of infections with 466 percent growth in fresh infections. Kurnool has a total of 11,570 cases.
Fellow Telugu state Telangana too has a region that has more number of pandemic cases with 35,970 infections. Hyderabad recorded a growth rate of fresh cases with 168 percent.
