One positive effect of Eatala Rajender's rebellion on the TRS is that KCR is on the move. After months of staying put in his farm house or Pragathi Bhavan, he is stirring out. He has already covered four districts and is planning to cover more districts. He is interacting with the local leaders and the public at large.
But the bigger benefit is that the ministers are now given more freedom. They are now allowed into the Pragathi Bhavan. Eatala had alleged that no minister was allowed into the Pragathi Bhavan and that they do not have any kind of freedom to operate. He said that the ministers were no more than slaves in KCR rule. They do not get invites even for the review of their departments. Only the officials and the CM would review the performance of ministries, Eatala alleged. This allegation seems to have had the desired effect. Now, ministers are allowed into the Pragathi Bhavan. Not just that, KCR seems to have he has given some kind of freedom to the ministers to participate in the programmes of their departments. For instance, Jagadish Reddy, who was till now confined to Suryapet, is now asked to visit other districts as well. Similarly, Srinivas Goud has recently inaugurated a housing project in CM's home turf of Gajwel. Harish Rao, who was limited to Siddipet, has been allowed to cover the whole of undivided Medak district.
The ministers are happy that thanks to Eatala, they now have some elbow space to manoeuvre. They feel that they are able to exercise their rights and prerogatives only after Eatala Rajender raised this issue.
