Enforcement Directorate attached assets worth Rs 177 crore belonging to Bharathi Cements owned by YS Jaganmohan Reddy Yesterday. With the latest development, Total assets attached by ED till date stood at a whooping Rs 2,681 crore. This is 6th Attachment of Enforcement Directorate in connection with the disproportionate assets case of YSR Congress President.
In response, Bharathi Cements moves a house motion against the fresh attachment. The petition is expected to come up for hearing on December 19th.
CBI has named YS Jagan and his auditor Vijay Sai Reddy as Accused No.1 and No.2 in the charge sheet. Jagan served a jail sentence for 16 months for alleged quid-pro-quo dealings during YSR regime.
However, Jagan's Camp kept claiming it's just a witch-hunt launched by the UPA Government influencing the CBI. They were hopeful of attaining a clean chit from the court one day.
