BJP supporters pelted eggs at Union Minister and AP Congress campaign committee chief Chiranjeevi while he was addressing the crowd during his rally at Koneru Centre in Machilipatnam. He stopped his speech for a sometime after this incident and the two people who were involved in the attack have been taken into custody by police.
Police suspect the attack took place in reaction to Chiranjeevi's remarks on BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi calling a 'Hitler' and 'Tyrant'.
During his recent interaction with media, Chiru launched a staggering attack on BJP and Narendra Modi. "Modi is a tyrant and hitler. He sidelined several senior BJP leaders including former PM Vajpayee and LK Advani. BJP is a communal party," he told.
