Tana Polls: Election Results Leave Srungavarapu Panel Elated

The high-anticipated vote counting of non-profit organisation Telugu Association of North America(TANA) started on Saturday and concluded on Sunday. The election result was announced recently.

Srungavarapu Niranjan has emerged victoriously as TANA President in the elections by crushing his competitor Narine Kodali with a margin of 1758 votes in the nail-biting elections.

Niranjan hails from the Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh.10866 votes were polled for Niranjan, while Narine has managed to get 9108 votes. Niranjan’s panel was elated with the election result.

Niranjan's panel created history by winning all the key positions in the organisation. Board of Director, Regional Coordinator, Fort worth Regional Coordinator, posts were won by his panel.

Kolla Ashok Babu, who contested from Niranjan's panel has won as TANA treasurer. He won the elections by defeating Jagdish, fielded by competitor panel. Ashok Babu and Jagadish have got 11,460 and 9540 votes respectively. Ashok hails from the Prakasam district.
