When the Twitter deal was announced, the issue made a lot of noise as many people including Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates douting that Twitter might not remain the same after it goes into the hands of Elon Musk, which struck the much-talked-about deal. Even Twitter employees are worried about their jobs with the deal.
After all this, the deal was kept on hold as Elon Musk wants to have a record of the spam accounts and remove them all. But the current management is saying that having a small portion of such profiles is common and starting an exercise to found for such accounts will consume a lot of time and outsiders cannot be involved in this.
No matter how strong the management is trying t make Elon Musk understand the issue, Elon Musk is very adamant about his opinion. He is very adamant about the opinion that he is openly saying that the deal cannot go forward as there is a huge difference in the numbers being said by the management and the original numbers on fake accounts.
Raising many doubts on whether the Twitter deal will be implemented on not, Elon Mush said that, the management said the fake accounts make up to 5 percent of total accounts, but the percentage is 20 percent and even could be more than 20 percent. Looks like Elon Mush is very strong in his opinion on fake profiles.
"20% fake/spam accounts, while 4 times what Twitter claims, could be much higher. My offer was based on Twitter's SEC filings being accurate. Yesterday, Twitter's CEO publicly refused to show proof of <5%. This deal cannot move forward until he does," Elon Musk's tweet reads.
