In a positive development, the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) on Monday confirmed that it has received the official 'Letter of Intent' from the BCCI to host the Indian Premier League(IPL) 13th season in the United Arab Emirates.
"We have received the official letter and now wait on the decision from the Indian Government which will ink the final deal," said Mubashshir Usmani, Emirates Cricket Board Secretary General.
After the International Cricket Council (ICC) has postponed the T20 World Cup which is scheduled to happen in Australia, the BCCI has fastened the process to stage the most awaited IPL 2020.
While the BCCI is preparing plans between October-November window, the franchisees are making all the arrangements to get into the action.
