Encourage local players, or else IPL matches will not be held in Hyderabad!
Ahead of the 14th season of the Indian Premier League(IPL), a ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) legislator has warned that protests will be held to see that the tournament is not held in Hyderabad.
Going into details, TRS MLA Danam Nagender, who represents the Khairatabad constituency has found fault with the Sunrisers Hyderabad management for not picking local players in the team.
He said that there is a lot of talent pool in domestic cricket. Players who played in various tournaments like Ranji Trophy, U-19 cricket, and other tournaments should be given a chance to play IPL.
The Legislator expressed his dissatisfaction over Australian player David Warner, who was banned on the charges of ball-tampering scandal finding a place in the SRH team., that too as a captain.
Referring to Hyderabadi player Mohammed Siraj, the MLA said, he made it big with his talent and caliber. He demanded the SRH to encourage local players and warned that protests will be held if the franchise fails to do so.
