As a sensational development in Telangana politics, TRS Rebel leader and former Health Minister Etela Rajender appeared before the media on Friday and made an announcement of resignation from the party and his MLA post.
Speaking further, the former Minister had come down severely on the party and Chief Minister KCR. Etela said, working as Minister under KCR's rule is no less than slavery. Pragathi Bhavan should be renamed as 'Banisa Bhavanam', he said.
Talking about his episode, the former Minister said, the Chief Minister taking the decision of stripping him from the portfolio without even asking him for an explanation made him upset.
I tried my level best to get an appointment with Chief Minister KCR and IT Minister KTR. But my requisitions were denied.
Etela even alleged that there is no freedom for the Ministers in KCR's cabinet and said, the Chief Minister has control of the ministers. There was a big conspiracy behind the entire episode to malign my character.
'The pride and self-respect of Telangana are above the money to me. During the Telangana agitation, Andhra leaders offered Rs 50,000 crores to withdraw the protest, But I denied it. This is the right time for the intellectuals and democrats to unite,' Etela Rajender said.
