The second wave of coronavirus pandemic in European countries is accelerating, forcing countries to impose new regulations and social-distancing rules in an attempt to stop the spread of the coronavirus. Reports revealed that more than 1.3 million new cases were reported in Europe this past week, its highest single week count yet.

Most recently, Italy's Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte issued orders imposing sanctions until November 24. Gyms, swimming pools and movie theatres have been ordered to close until November 24 due to the virus outbreak in the country. Moreover, Giuseppe decided to make it mandatory for all people to wear masks. In the past two days, 20,000 people have been newly diagnosed with the virus. Italy has the second-highest number of corona deaths after Britain.

Spain, on the other hand, has also imposed an emergency and announced a nationwide curfew. The curfew will continue from 11 pm to 6 am. Spain became the first Western European country to cross one million corona cases. In Europe, 8.2 million people were infected with the corona, and about 2.6 million lost their lives.
