EVM Tampering Happened In 2014 Elections

Update: 2019-01-22 05:34 GMT
US-based Cyber Expert Syed Shuja claimed Aam Aadmi Party contacted him in 2014 to know how Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) can be hacked.

Addressing the media, Syed Shuja alleged 2014 General Elections were rigged. He accused BJP, Congress, SP, BSP and AAP having involvement in the rigging of EVMs. 'While SP and BSP contacted my team for it, AAP asked us to show how the EVMs can be hacked. I could demonstrate how the EVMs can be hacked,' he told.

AAP Spokesperson Saurabh Bharadwaj clarified: 'AAP contacted many experts to know if EVMs can be hacked but Syed Shuja wasn't among them. AAP remains firm on the stand that EVMs are prone to tampering. If Govt can't use VVPAT Machines in every polling booth in the country, Then Ballot Paper must be preferred'.

The Election Commission condemned the claims of Syed Shuja. It even threatened to take legal action against the Cyber Expert for saying that EVM Tampering happened during 2014 Elections.
