The Telugu Desam Party, which has continuously losing elections, hopes that things will turnaround soon. The party thinking heads feel that the party can bounce back from March this year. While the party leaders are not giving any reasons for their claims, but are pretty confident that even some key YSRCP leaders might leave the party and join the TDP.

The TDP sources feel that the people are slowly but surely turning against the YSRCP. Employees, teachers, youth and even women are gradually turning against the YSRCP, feels the TDP. It is also confident that the TDP seniors, who remained dormant all these days, are slowly getting active. These leaders are beginning to meet the cadres after a gap of two years.

TDP sources say that several YSRCP leaders have come into contact with the TDP and are looking for the right time to join the TDP. Some of those who left the TDP to join the YSRCP, are said to be engaged in talks with the party leadership.  Hence the TDP is confident that the trickle would begin in March and within a few months,  many leaders would come back into the TDP.

TDP sources said that a former MLA from Anantapur district, two YSRCP MLAs from Kurnool, two MLAs and an MP from Nellore are said to be in touch with the TDP. Similarly, a senior leader from Guntur wants to come back to the TDP on the condition that he should be given the MLA ticket. Similar calls are coming from Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Vizag, sources say.
