Speculations are abuzz that Paritala Ravi tonsured the head of Pawan Kalyan during a land dispute which took place more than 15 years ago. Pawan Kalyan spoke about the much hyped gossip during his ongoing tour.
Pawan Kalyan: 'I received a call from My Brother Naga Babu when I was shooting for 'Thammudu' in BHEL. He asked Me where was I at that time. Even after I told him about the shooting spot, He repeated the same question. That's when I came to know about the rumor in circulation. I have no dealings with Paritala Ravi at all. Few TDP Leaders had created this rumour for spreading hatred among people of two communities & it became a news item for media after three years. I myself had undergone head tonsure. A wild speculation has been created based on it. Paritala Ravi himself wrote in his autobiography that he had never met me. Though TDP insulted Me, I had still supported it in 2014 because we were taught to think beyond caste. There is need for unity among people of all castes. People must be aware of those who try to divide people with baseless speculations'.
Jana Sena Chief feels people need to think beyond caste and religion to see Amaravati as a world class capital. 'If caste feeling doesn't get wiped out in Vijayawada and Guntur, We can't see the transformation of Amaravati into Worldclass Capital. To ask anyone what's your caste isn't the right thing to do,' he opined.
