The comments made by Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis in the Legislative Council has been garnering all the attention. Hinting about the alliance between BJP & Shiv Sena, He commented 'Lion & Tiger will jointly contest 2019 Lok Sabha Polls. Rats (Opposition Parties) have been desperately trying to dethrone BJP from power. But, They could do nothing when Lion and Tiger fight collectively'.
In response, NCP Leader Jayant Patil said: 'We know about Tiger (Shiv Sena Symbol) but have no clue about Lion. People of the state will remind animals where they should be in 2019 Polls'.
Whereas, Shiv Sena made it clear during 92nd Birth Anniversary of Bal Thackeray on Tuesday that alliance with BJP has neared its end. It had even passed a resolution to contest 2019 Assembly and Lok Sabha Polls alone. The end of alliance would eventually benefit Congress and NCP in Maharashtra. Rift between BJP and Shiv Sena will only strengthen either UPA or Third Front.
