But the state governments are acting tough on such cases these days. It is known that cases were registered against Amala Paul, actor cum BJP MP Suresh Gopi for registering their luxury vehicle in Pondicherry with fake documents. Now, similar cases were registered against Malayalam star hero Fahadh Faasil.
The Crime branch police of Kerala arrested him on Monday in relation to the evasion of motor vehicle tax by submitting fake documents. They are saying that Fahadh secured the car loan from his native state Kerala but registered the vehicle in Pondicherry for saving Rs. 20 lakhs tax. Police questioned him and recorded his statement and he was released on bail later. Police officials revealed that they will take further action after verifying his statements.
Fahadh Faasil is the son of senior Malayalam director Fazil (He directed a Telugu film 'Killer' starring Nagarjuna). Fahadh is known for films like 'Bangalore Days'. Fahadh's wife is a popular Malayalam heroine Nazriya Nazim.
